Old Greenville is one of our favorite places to camp. You can’t find a better place in this area, in our opinion. We love the trails and the history of the old town. We enjoy the herds of deer that come out at night, although I believe the high water had them hunkered down, so we didn’t see any this trip. 2024 began our camping in Old Greenville, and almost completed our season too. It’s great!

This is one of our favorite places to camp.
The only thing is, we wish the big playground was within the big loop, so the kids would have easier access.

We love to camp here in the spring and fall. There is no place to swim, otherwise, it would be great anytime. The campground is large and mostly flat. It is great for walking ro biking. There are foundations and street names of the old town of Greenville that is fun to look at as well as an old grave yard that dates back to the Civil War that is interesting. There is a nice playground if you have small ones. All the camp sites are full hook up which my husband especially likes. There is a river right there if you like to fish.. All in all, a great place to camp.

Great place to walk or ride your bicycle. The interpretive trail about Greenville’s history is very interesting. Full hookup camping there is a bargain for seniors with an Interagency Pass.
