Nice quiet place. Good trails for walking or biking. No place for swimming at this campground. Small dock for river access. The town of Greenville is nearby with the basic needs, gas, groceries, bike shop, General dollar and a couple of places to eat. About 30 miles to larger city.

Excellent campground. Needs to have NON-RESERVABLE campsites, 5/6 months out for reservation is not good. Thank you..

Greenville is always a favorite camping spot for us. I love the bike trails--some of the best we come across while camping. The sites are wonderful, and other campers are friendly.

This park was wonderful. It had recently been updated and all sites had concrete pads, large picnic tables and even hangers for lanterns. The biking was excellent, which is why we wish we had been staying there for more than one night. It is definitely a park we will go back to when we are in the area again.

This is the best campground. The whole campground is level, shower house is clean, and the nature is beautiful. I only wish that the dumpsters were shown on the campground map when making a reservation. Would not have chosen on purpose to be a few feet from one.

The grounds and campsites are great! Walking and bike trails were nice. That said, the shower house is not clean at all. The shower curtain for the stall I was in had mildew and mold all over it. The shower curtains did not fit the shower stalls. The mirrors were very dirty, one of the two faucets used to wash hands, basically just put out a very small stream of water. Overall, it was just not clean.
The toilet tissue holders were not round and the toilet tissue rolls were too tight to turn, making it impossible to get toilet tissue unless you just 'unwind it' from the roll. There was no one at the fee/check-in building even though it was during the hours that the notice said it was manned (around 2 PM) when we arrived at the campground. I only used one of the bathroom only buildings, and it was cleaner than the shower house, but still had a lot to be desired. As mentioned, Verizon cell service was barely existent.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |
