I truly love this campground. It is great in looks and mostly clean. Trash is different this year with fewer bins, but of a walk.
Personnel have been great. My family has been coming here for years. I wish people would stop parking on the grass when there are so many parking spaces available. Also, question on how the same people are staying weeks at a time and we can not book that. Is there a trick to this. I have never in 15 years gotten a spot for Oct Halloween fun but same folks do every single year.

This shelter is always a family favorite for our annual reunions. We look forward to visiting each year. Only issue we found this year was there was no trash cans at the pavilion.

Greenville Recreation area is our favorite campground! Most recently we spent a week there ! The facilities are clean and well-maintained. The scenic views of the river are gorgeous . We enjoyed the paved biking and hiking trails and relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere . There are over 100 paved sites with concrete patios, full hooks, fire rings, picnic tables and plenty of space between each one! We will
be returning for another week at the end of the month!

We thoroughly enjoyed Greenville Recreation Area! We were attending a 4 day event and had the best time. Our camping neighbors were so nice and the campground was very well maintained. It's a very beautiful place, lots of shaded sites. Full hookups and sewer on site. Our Site was #18 and it was HUGE!. Several sites had lots of space between. The campground has lots of places for walking and riding bikes, playground and open entertainment area. I believe there is a local swimming area.

Greenville Recreation Area is our camp group of family & friends top camping destination for the large, well kept sites & many activities available. Our most recent trip was interrupted by severe weather, but we had adequate warning from the camp host as well as suggested shelter. That gave us some semblance of safety. Luckily we did not alter our reservations due to the weather forecast because there was a lot more beautiful weather than expected. The mosquitos were pretty savage this trip, but that’s part of being outdoors. Just like with the weather, plan accordingly.

It’s always a good place to camp. Level sites makes for an easy setup. The only problem was with the mosquitoes. Tried a fire, spray, candles nothing seemed to work. Had to stay in the camper most of the time.

We love spending time in Greenville, MO at the Old Greenville Campgrounds. We have a boat on Clearwater Lake, and it's only a twenty minute drive from the campground. The campgrounds are very clean, quiet, and all the campers are very friendly. The phone service is excellent. There are places to walk and ride bikes for both adults and kids. We usually camp there at least once a month starting in the spring.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |
