This campground has great host, playgrounds, and bicycle trails or just riding around on your bike. It has full hook ups, so very easy camping. Always mowed off and clean. Our favorite campground in MO.

We always enjoy COE parks for their spacious sites, cleanliness and great pricing for seniors. And, Greenville Recreation Area may be the best ever!! We had a full hookup site which is really great for a longer stay. Loved the large concrete patios and asphalt parking pads. To top it all off wonderful trails for walking or biking. And a few minutes drive to a grocery store in Greenville.

There was an overflowing trash can on our site, that had trash everywhere for the first two days of our stay. Glad it wasn’t warmer…flies and smell would have been terrible.
To top it off, we were informed that upon raining we could have a fire (fire restriction due to drought) so we decided in the dropping temperature after nearly 3” of steady soaking rain to get warm…The host was unfriendly and extremely rude about the situation and threatening!!
Really left a bad taste for being the first time at this location.

Existing day use shelter reservations may be cancelled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if the facility is closed due to flooding, elevated security threats, maintenance problems, etc. Reservations may also be cancelled when the reservation conflicts with large public special events that would negatively impact a private event at the shelter. For these reasons, customers should consider an alternate date or location in the event a closure is necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. |
