Been 10 years since I camped here. The park was still well kept and beautiful. Mother nature didn't cooperate and decided to have a record heat wave in middle of September which brought out thousands of pesky gnats. Couldn't sit outside at night or open the camper door with getting invaded but even with them high Temps, the breeze over the water made it feel about 10 degrees cooler. Camp hosts were super nice. Left a few days early due to the heat and gnats, but hope to come back next year. Great place to stop in, very quiet, especially during the week.

Had a great time there, site 42 is by the water, easy access for kayaks, went to the races at night but during the day it's a quiet, clean park, everyone seemed polite and respected your site unlike some other campgrounds we've stayed at , definitely will be back

Damsite Campground continues to be our favorite camp site. We always enjoy the scenery and hospitality of the local people in Hickory County, after all Hickory County is home to our 57th governor of our great state of Missouir.
