I had been to this park (same site) 5 years ago and liked it so we came back to rest a couple of nights on our way from Elkhart County, Indiana to our home near Dallas, Texas. We almost had the park to ourselves. We saw a couple of wild turkeys!

The campground was nice but we had a storm come through that knocked down trees really did a number on the campground.

This campground is awesome!!! Always very neat and clean! Absolutely love the way there are trees between campsites for privacy as well as shade. Best bonus for me is the fact that they have equine(horse) sites and trails to ride. It is so hard to find a campground on a lake that accomodates both regular campers and horse campers! Thank you so very much for the horse accomodations! The archery area is spectacular also. We love the fact that there are three areas of archery skills and the elevated platform was amazing. Love, love, love Frank Russell campground!

Very well maintained and the hosts were very helpful. My RV needed a jump and the host came with cables and started it. He was very helpful and friendly. Plan to stay there again.
