About Indian Creek (MO)

Indian Creek lies on the northern banks of Mark Twain Lake. It is the largest campground on the lake with 215 standard campsites, plus additional non-electric and tent-only sites. The lake is named for the beloved writer and humorist, Mark Twain, who was born just south of the lake in Florida, Missouri.

Our first trip here and absolutely loved it!! This is one of our favs, by far. We went as a recommendation from a friend that lives close by and traveled from where we live at Lake of the Ozarks on opening weekend. The trip was so worth it and we already booked future trips. Our family enjoyed the awesome opportunity to get out on trails and brought our bikes and rode on the camp roads each day. A truly remarkable experience! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Campsite had lots of trash. I picked up all I could find. Watch walking through leaves because of the oak mites/chiggers. I looked like I had measles for a month afterwards. Positives are it's so close to the water and there is a path nearby to avoid walking through all the little pests! Should have thought that through in the first place. ;0)

I love it there, but would like to have more sites with water hook up and less brush around camp sites. Camp sites really need grassy area to play games and for kids tents if needed.
