Loved the campground. The addition of more sites with full hook really helped out with a small camper. Rinsed the grandkids off outside the camper everynight. Wish the beach would have a hotdog cart on the weekends.

We have been camping at Ray Behrens for over 40 years. We abide by all the rules, especially when it comes to checking out. If anything we always leave by 2 at the latest. On September 6 it was a beautiful day and we decided to go for a boat ride. All we had to do when we got off the water was change, close up our camper, hookup and leave. We got back to our campsite at 3 knowing we had to be gone by 4. The park ranger was waiting for us when we arrived to remind us check out was at 4 as there was someone waiting to get on our site. (Check-in is at 5). They were 3 hours early. We let him know we were very well aware of the time. He continued to sit and watch us. It is now 3:30 and very obvious that all we had to do was hook up and leave. The ranger walked up to us reminding us we had 30 minutes to leave. We just said okay and then he walked over to the couple waiting for our spot. We have never experienced this type of treatment before and to be quite honest it made me especially very nervous and rushed with the ranger watching us. As I mentioned any other day we would have been gone much earlier but in the case stayed knowing we had until 4:00. I just hope other campers do not have to experience this type of treatment as we have.

Our stay at Ray Behrens Camp Ground 47B was absolutely awesome. We always have fun and always get into some very funny cooking issues. Me all I want is a hot dog cooked over the open fire and some marshmallows, but my sister wants to cook pork chops, potato and vegetable mixture, and of course corn on the cob. I laughed so hard at this adventure!
Anyway, we still had a wonder stay and did a lot of walking, which we love and my Miniature Schnauzer Baby loved her morning and evening walks as well.

Great location for people with bicycles. Camping spaces are right on top of each other. Bathrooms and showers were the best I’ve seen.
