What Guests Are Saying
Sutton Bluff Recreation Area is praised for its great campground, especially for ATV enthusiasts, with direct access to trails and a beautiful natural setting. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the respectful behavior of fellow campers, despite some issues with facilities and the absence of a camp host. While there are concerns about maintenance and missing amenities like a wastewater dump, overall, the area remains a favored spot for camping and outdoor activities.

Before leaving, know that the only paved road into the campground is from Centerville. The road from the north is 7.5 miles of rocky, narrow mountain road, not a county maintained type road, so if you come in from the northern side, be prepared for some rough road. This should be more clear on the website directions instead of reading about it here.

This is a great place to camp and ride your ATV. Permits are available at the Sheriff's Office in Centerville.
Shower house is available. Unfortunately, no host to provide daily upkeep and manage visitors. I wish there was a dump station for camper wastewater.

We love camping here. Love riding our SxS on all the trails. Unfortunately on this trip we experienced something that was SO WRONG! We pull in the campground and noticed someone was already set up on our site, we booked. We started looking at the tags on the poles and noticed they the people camping on our site, switched tags with the site next to us. Now not having a camp host there wasn't anything we could do but be upset and have words with our neighbor, for the weekend. Or call the sheriff. We chose to not cause anymore trouble and let it be. The place needs a camp host .
