What Guests Are Saying
Sutton Bluff Recreation Area is praised for its great campground, especially for ATV enthusiasts, with direct access to trails and a beautiful natural setting. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the respectful behavior of fellow campers, despite some issues with facilities and the absence of a camp host. While there are concerns about maintenance and missing amenities like a wastewater dump, overall, the area remains a favored spot for camping and outdoor activities.

Everything was great - but our campsite was more of a downhill, so it was harder to get camper leveled. Spot #29 -

Rude park maintenance employees.
Trash cans over flowing.
No park host.
Waited till we were already set up at campsite to come through mowing, made a mess and didn’t even mow our site.

Bathrooms/Showers are TERRIBLE! Need to be bulldozed and rebuilt. Been going to this place for 50 years and the bathrooms have had nothing done to them.

Needs Steve back, people drive the wrong way, bathrooms don’t get cleaned, toilet paper was empty upon our arrival. Fire rings were so full we had to empty it out in order to use.
The facilities are due for a revamp. Rot is setting in. Very enjoyable camp ground for years. Please keep it enjoyable for many more.

Since there is no campground host this year it has gone downhill, bathrooms and showers not clean or stocked fire pits full of ash on Labor Day grass was only mowed near the host site it’s really disappointing to see it go downhill in 1season and I have been going there 20+ years
