Crabtree Cove

I like Crabtree Cove at Stockton Lake a lot I’ve been coming for many many years, but I miss some of our camp host and Hostess. In my opinion, the people you had the last few years are so inferior to some that we had before. I like Charlie and Mary and I really like Terry And Jim. I hear that they’re moving on though so hopefully next year we have some fantastic folks to have the honor of hosting a fine bunch of campers.
I think it’s time that you will evaluate your premium site since all the flags and trees. There’s two campsites they are not. I would put the premium at B9 and B8.
Also at the front of the campground entrance let people know that cans and clothes lines and cables do not burn and put only things to put in the fire pits.
Do I get a free night camping since I filled this out?

Crabtree cove was the only campsites in our 3-hour journey around this lake looking for a shady spot. Every site here in Crabtree cove with shady. It was fairly close to Stockton where there was only a small grocery store to choose from. No Walmart within 30 miles so make sure you have all your provisions. It is located on a point with water all around. One whole side is like a beach that you can swim from. Shower houses are far away up at the entrance but if you have a bike it's okay.

The campground is very nicely shaded. The grounds are not kept up though. My teenage kids and their grandpa picked up 2 trash bags of trash throughout A loop. The campsites are in need of gravel and to be leveled out. Various trees could be cut down to make sites more spacious and easier for campers to get parked/setup. The showers need to be power washed and repainted. There are signs up stating the showers are cleaned regularly - but they don't appear to be cleaned even weekly. The water pressure is terrible! It is very difficult to wash off let alone get shampoo/conditioner washed out. Some sites are further apart than others and some people get more rowdy than others. The playground is nice but doesn't offer much shade. It is nice in the morning and evening. There is a cove to park boats and kayaks at for easy access. There is additional parking for trailers. Trucks/SUVs can pull down to the water if desired.

Campground is clean and not overgrown. Sites are electric only. Water needs to be filled with multiple hoses from the site, or at the water station at the check-in station. However, dogs not on leashes and not cleaned up afterwards continues to be a 0”problem at Crabtree. Also, please provide hand soap in the bathrooms.

Will never EVERRRRRR get 5 stars which they deserve until they fix the water pressure in the shower house it's ridiculous how terrible the water pressure is for such an amazing campsite

This is our favorite spot. It’s so shady, and there is a nice little path to the water for swimming or kayaking. Good place to park your boat too. Great signal with Verizon.

Crabtree is amazing we love Crabtree but once again the pressure at the shower house is terrible and you refuse to address it
I don't understand this would be the greatest campground around if we could just address this issue

This was our 3rd time at Crabtree Cove. We were in site 16 A and we had room for our 25' camper plus our boat. The site was flat, and in the shade. Nice boat ramp!

1. Site 37A is a double site and that could have been clearer on the website. It was double the price of others but for a first timer, $40+ is typical for other rving locations. Other COE would have called it a family site, that would have been helpful.
2. The park ranger warned of the tornado warning by driving through the area with lights and sirens on. What was happening, and where to take shelter would have been helpful in addition to sirens and lights. We were able to figure it out by using the internet. Some campers don't have that luxury or in more urgent scenarios would we have the time.
3. It was posted not to bring firewood into the location. But none was available to buy there. So everyone with a fire was pretty much breaking your rule. Clarification on this would be good too.
4. All in all, it a was a great trip. The above issues were minor, but could have been worse. We met amazing people. The facilities were good. The wildlife and water were hard to beat. Thank you.

Camp host would drive up on the sidewalk every day by the restrooms but wouldn’t do anything, trash boxes were always full and everyone was just throwing trash on floor, nasty!
