Alley Spring has always been one of our favorite family campgrounds. A beautiful location in the heart of the Ozarks. Everything was picture perfect until we left. The dump station design is flawed. Seriously, this is a health and welfare issue. Especially during these Covid times. The lid to the sewer line is unable to be lifted up so that the camper sewer hose can go fit firmly in place. This needs to be addressed immediately. It is a health hazard, unsafe, unsanitary and poorly designed. It can be easily fixed by removing the screw and nut and bolt from the cover; attaching a cable line that will extend the distance you can put the sewer lid cap from the septic line and thus be able to attach an individual camper sewer line into the pipe for proper discharge.

We enjoy coming to the Eminence area. There are so many natural sites to visit. This site does have a water problem when it rains.

Great area for family of all ages! Floating, swimming and other areas close by to visit. Be sure and go see Alley Springs and take the trail around it. Been there several times and always something new to see. Very peaceful, beautiful all seasons!!

Great camping spot! Clean washrooms and close access to the river...definitely would recommend for a good camping experience! Be forewarned though that cell service is spotty or unavailable in most spots at the campground so plan accordingly

We love Alley Spring and have been going here for 41 years. our children and grandchildren love it here. It's the only thing they all look forward to every year is going camping at Alley Spring. It's beautiful. The only problem is smokers. We can't have glass close to the water because someone might get hurt because of some idiot, but yet they say how bad cigarette butts are for wild life and fish yet they can smoke in the water and on the edge and throw their buttes into the water and nothing is said. not to mention that smoke goes everywhere and we have a grandson that really has to watch being around anyone that smokes or he has a breathing issue, well that happened one night he got up and couldn't breath and his mom and dad went a walk so everyone was trying to find them, luckily his little brother new where everything was at and brought us his inhaler and pie pen if needed. His mom was able to get him calmed down and breathing again with his inhaler and Benadryl, and the ranger on duty was very helpful and we appreciated it very much. Something really needs to be done with smoking on the waterways.
