Very clean bathhouses and restrooms. The scenery is beautiful and Alley Spring itself is truly a gem. Eminence is an interesting small town. Close to several other points of interest.

it is hard to say where to start first of all the trash neighbors surrounded us on three sides repeatedly walk thru our camp site had a family reunion 2 days in a row with 50 to 75 people the first night until 2am then the second night the same number of people but different people till 2am talking loudly and saying both nights what great family reunion they were having at one point a group of guys were looking over guns in a trunk of a car then for the two days and I timed it believe you me I had the time to do it could not sleep or anything else they slammed car doors every minute and a half to 3 minutes non stop all day and all night the woman 5ft behind our camper slept in her car with it running all night they had 5 to 6 cars per camp site plus dogs unleashed running loose all over my wife is deafly scared of dogs after being attacked years ago then the kids played tag and football and generally threw a ball around my almost new truck and camper that we saved money for 5 long years to finally buy. according to rules you have to rent picnic shelters for family reunions dogs must be leashed BY LAW and quiet hour starts way the HELL before 2am as for the car running all night the exhaust kept setting off my carbon monoxide detector in my closed up camper how does happen must be some serious dangerous exhaust fumes DONT POST RULES for EVERYBODY and not enforce them what is the point ,also waiting several months ask my review does not calm me down it only fuels the fire trust you me WE told everyone we know about what happen. don't ask for a review and not post it or do any thing about it this is NOT the first time we have experienced rule breakers and nobody enforcing the rules either I also don't want to here the sad sorry how you have no money resources to hire or enforce rules and most of all LAWS of missouri if your not going to do anything or change anything or uphold the law ,then don't ask for a review shut the camp ground down I paid the same as they did!

We have been camping at Alley Springs for over 40 years and always enjoy it. We love the area, the springs are beautiful and the trails around the parks are fun to walk. We have enjoyed the cave tour at Round Springs is a must. I love spending the day on and in the river, canoeing, tubing, kayaking and just exploring the back areas off the river.

A. Noise - First night, group tent campers were REALLY REALLY LOUD---way past 11:30pm.
B. Restrooms - The updated post-flood restrooms are not pleasant at all: 1. too bright, 2. fan is TOO loud, 3. Hand dryers are TOO loud, you get the picture. Whoever came up with these planned updates really does not understand campgrounds. I actually preferred the older restroom, quieter, calmer, not at bright/white, not as jarring as the new one;
C. The Ranger presentation on Snakes was really really interesting.
D. The campsites were nice (I had a tent on the elect/water site);
E. The swimming area was fun;
Thank you!

Alley Spring was fantastic, my wife and I will be going back we loved it there. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there is no cell phone service so we couldn't check the weather forecast also my children could not reach us in an emergency but out side of that you couldn't find a better place to camp, it's beautiful there and great for bike riding, hiking and swimming.

This is a wonderful location with just the right amount of outdoor activities to keep all entertained. The lack of cellphone service and only one circle having electric hookups can be frustrating. Hopefully, the park service will provide additional RV locations in the near future.

We love Alley Spring Campground! We've visited in the late fall 4 of the last 5 years, and plan on coming back. We alternate our days between riding our motorcycles on the beautifully maintained hilly curvy highways and kayaking on the beautiful clean rivers. The people in the park and the community are friendly and helpful.
The only thing that we would change about the park would be to add more sites with water and electricity so more people could enjoy the park and the area.
