I've camped here for many years and its so beautiful. But this year the dump station is out of commission. Which costs us an extra $10 to take it to another station to dump.

Wonderful place to visit, Spectacular views throughout the park. Newly built campsites and bathrooms. Great stream to cool off in. Definitely will be returning.

Unfortunately, because of threatening weather we did not stay the night but we greatly appreciated the well-maintained and clean campground. We did picnic and walked the roads.

Having camped here for many years, the new layout still takes some getting used to. We stayed in the lower creek site #1. Clean and ready for us to set up.

On arrival we were told that we could not use the dump station. Also the water fill station was spewing water out the top and almost all the sites had grass that was 18 inches tall, had not been cut.

The new sites look great, a little far from the river now but suppose that was the point. Campground hosts were great as well.

A lot of trees were cleared to make the new campsites, so don't expect to spend the day relaxing in the woods. However the Creek loop is closest to the old campground and picnic areas, which have plenty of shade to enjoy during the day.
Not every site is suitable for tent camping. The new campsites have large expanses of paving (for RVs) and many of the sites have only one or two level areas to set up a tent. Even the non electric sites at the Pines Overlook have a tremendous amount of paving.
The best part of this campground is access to the creek at the bluffs. There is plenty of room to swim/play, and lots of interesting rocks.
