Peoples Creek is highly praised for its beautiful, clean, and quiet campground, with well-maintained facilities and friendly staff. Really nice spot if you have kids. I would like to have had sewer but this site didn’t. When we left the dump station was also full so we were told to go dump at the upper campground in any open campsite.

Good, clean and quiet. Lake was a bit high and some boat ramps were closed but still was a good experience. We'll be back.

Very nice campground. I stayed in the lower section (they have an upper section as well). My site was level, and had a picnic table, fire ring, grill and water/electric. Their bathroom/shower building has 8 individual bathrooms (two handicapped), and each bathroom has its own shower. You have easy access to the beach and boat launch/area. The camp host was very friendly and helpful in pointing out the different amenities in the camp.

Awesome Location!!! all the sites are fairly secluded, Tons of shade cover, Amazing shower house with hot water (free). Site 11 is level and secluded compared to most commercial sites. Water and elec but no sewer at the site, but a clean dump station. There is a beach but it was closed due to flooding at the lake. The area has amazing parks, the lake is massive and beautiful,

The campground and facilities are neat, clean and well maintained. There are a variety of things to do within a hundred mile radius. Mingo National Wildlife Refuge was our favorite as well as Big Oak Tree State Park. unfortunately we had lots of rain with only one sunny day. We will definitely return.

——BIG RIGS BE CAUTIOUS———
40’ Fifth Wheel, Long bed pickup: Limited signage going into park. Downhill park entrance was scary but I did not scrape leveler jacks or bumper coming in or going out of the park.
Interior roads are narrow. Booked site #7 but was unable to back rig into sight due to 1) narrow road, 2) sign posts on both sides of #7 site entrance and 3) drop offs on all paved surfaces. Park host was able to move me to site 14.
The turn near site 11 is very tight for big rigs. Take it slow you can avoid the pavement drop-off…lots of scrapes/gouges on the road from others who had dropped off.
Fuel station across the street. The nearest name-brand diesel was 25min away.
In general, the park/amenities are very nice. The park is quiet and peaceful (during the week).

Nice campsites as long as it is not raining. The grounds get pretty muddy in the rain. Showers are clean and heated with good pressure. There is a multiuse path that provides easy walking even for those with limitations
