We had the most miserable experience ever. We were taking our kids camping for the first time. Other campers decided to ruin the entire trip for us and others surrounding us. We contacted the campground the follow day, explained our experience and were told we would receive a full refund. Well, 2 days later it was denied. I called back explaining the situation once again. Was told we would get a full refund, and nothing. Absolutely NOTHING happened. We had to pack up and leave at 3am because other campers were becoming too out of control and our children were scared. We will never camp here again.

The campground was clean, and the sites were spacious. I would recommend double-checking the location of each site. I thought I selected one that was on the water, but when we got to our site it was surrounded by dense woods.

Berry Bend provides a beautiful view of the lake. The park is well-maintained. Bathroom and shower facilities are clean and always stocked with toilet paper and soap. I've never had an issue with losing power even during some pretty scary storms. There are great shelter houses for gatherings, and a nice playground for the kids. My only complaint is that I cannot get a phone signal from the campsite. If that's not an issue for you, this is a perfect destination for campers.

Our rating of our experience would have been 5 stars, however when we arrived the credit card machine was not working which caused us problems that we hope will be corrected. The grounds, equipment, personnel, ...everything else was excellent.

Campground is good as always, but it's sad to see all of the abandoned sites, and the swim beach that once was amazing is now closed, and left to disrepair. I'm not sure if the flood or the pandemic is to blame.
