The campgrounds were very clean, well organized and maintained, and during our time, the campers were respectful and courteous. Most sites don't have a view of the lake but if you can rent one, it is well worth it. Will definitely be back this year!

The water was up but the grandsons loved it because it was a short walk to the fishing & swimming. Had a lovely view of the moon over the water and a campfire...much enjoyed

My spot was difficult to back into. It is on a steep incline and near the parking barrier there is a huge hole.

Long Shoal is one of our favorite campgrounds. It has Truman Lake front lots with a marina that features a wonderful floating restaurant, a public boat launch and a public swimming beach, all less than a mile away. The major downside that we see about this campground is that the sites are gravel instead of concrete or blacktop.
The city of Warsaw is about 8 miles away and offers several antique shops and flea markets, a beautiful downtown harbor area, and many hiking and biking trails. It has several fast food and a few mom and pop restaurants, The city is home to Truman Lake Visitor Center and a fish hatchery.
