Owl Creek Cabin

I absolutely love this little cabin. Very comfortable to stay in. I just wish the parking lot was graveled to cut back on the mud.

Owl Creek is always a lovely stay for our family. It's quaint, well stocked, and a great location to Holland Lake!

I love this place! Very cute! Perfect amount of isolation, love when there are horses there! So many trails, beautiful lake, the big blue sky!

Nice little cabin. Very up to date with the interior. Great location to hike Holland lake. Saw multiple deer. View from the cabin is the corral, not as picturesque as I thought.

We had a great time! If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a great time of year to go. We have been going to Holland Lake for the past 40 years. Most of the time the campgrounds around the lake are full so we camp at Owl Packer. We have always wondered about the FS cabin. If you are looking for a place during the winter months to just relax, read a book, put together a 500 pc. jigsaw puzzle, this is the place to go. The cabin was very clean and tidy. I read some of the comments about the fan on the stove not working, we were warm and toasty without it. Five star stay for us. P.S. Hope the current chaos in DC doesn't impact this fine jewel!

Great cabin!!! Very clean on arrival! I was so blessed to be able to spend New Years here! Parking area and roads were all freshly plowed! Full electricity, microwave, electric stove, propane heater plus 3 additional electrical heaters. A very cold mini fridge and all the dishes, cookware, silverware, pots and pans you will need. Even had a coffee maker, vacuum and swifer. I thought the bear design rugs in the cabin was a nice and warming touch! Also brand new mattresses that were comfortable!
Plenty of wood to burn for the fire pit with a couple axes for use. Several snow shovels and even a mini shovel for the fire pit! Completely quiet, plenty of winter activities and if your gear gets wet, there is a provided boot dryer and clothes dryer rack for use!
Only things to be aware of is no running water this time of year (understandable) and the fan on the propane fireplace doesn't work. Not a big deal, it got down to 17F and was still nice and warm inside.

Wonderful stay as always! Enjoyed a misty walk around the lake and all the beautiful larch trees.

We stayed four nights at this wonderful little cabin. The cabin is well stocked with most of the supplies that you need. It was clean when we arrived and we made sure to leave it even cleaner when we checked out. Beds are comfortable. The small refrigerator/freezer was more than adequate and the stove and oven worked great. The location is quiet and a short walk from Holland Lake. The views of the lake and mountains along the hike to the waterfalls were amazing!
