About Battle Ridge Cabin
Battle Ridge Cabin is a rustic dwelling located north of Bozeman, in southwestern Montana. The cabin was built in 1938 and is open year-round. It can be reached by vehicle in the summer, but guests visiting during winter must hike or ski a quarter-mile from the highway to reach the cabin.
Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities.

The cabin was very clean and well stocked. Beds are comfortable. The wood stoves work great and kept us warm. There are only four chairs so if you have 5 in your group, bring another chair. The trek into the cabin from the parking lot seemed longer than a half mile. There are lots of ups and downs and we were really glad we had snow shoes as pulling our sleds while wearing skis would have been very difficult. We skied two days and took a different route up Brackett Creek each time.

Battle Ridge cabin is in a beautiful meadow and pine setting in the Bridgers, an easy drive from Bozeman. The outdoor area has a nice campfire set up, but wood needs to be chopped. The 2 room cabin has 2 bunks and a cot with 2 wood-burning stove, but it is in run-down condition. Cabin interior needs new cabinets, tables repaired, better kitchen utensils and some deep cleaning. Price-per-night has gone up but it's still worth the outdoor adventure with hiking, biking & ski trails close by.
