I stayed at battle ridge in January. It was so peaceful and quiet I regretted not reserving for the entire weekend. The road to cabin is closed but if you can hike 1/2 mile it’s really a relaxing hike.Cabin was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend in winter

Overall a very pleasant two day stay. Plenty of firewood and space. There’s no running water or electricity so beware. We were there in mid November so it was chilly and a little icy overnight but the dirt road from the main road was perfectly passable (if bumpy). There were some basics available at the cabin although the lanterns were broken. There were also an incredible amount of flies in the cabin that were super aggressive and would fly straight in your face. Not much to do immediately about the vicinity of the cabin, no hiking trails. We didn’t see any wildlife other than a few birds which I think had more to do with the season than anything. The inner wall of the little stove in the bedroom is gone and so it’s likely to become a fire risk. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it was just as rustic as you would imagine.

The location and cabin were excellent although the cabin itself could use a thorough cleaning - it has been kept swept etc and everyone has been careful to pack trash in and out but, it needs a good power washing at some point soon and new cot mattresses - everything has become very dusty which is a problem if you have any allergies or asthma

Everything was perfect. It was my first time there and I love the layout of the cabin on the land and the easy accessibility to the campfire ring, the pit toilet, our vehicles. The view from the porch was one of the best. Thank you so much.
