Alta Campground

Beautiful, clean, and spacious! Wonderful camp hosts- can't wait to go back :)

Alta was clean, quiet and well kept up. The camp hosts are wonderful.

Lovely campsite. The sites were well spaced out, quiet, and private. Some shade and a beautiful creek, helped to cool off the hot days. The best part was Gordon, the most amazing camp host! The camp was very clean. The sites were actually racked clean. Gordon was so kind, he was like a super hero! He graciously helped jump start our battery and proceeded to charge it. Then brought us a bag of ice when we ran out! Gordon welcomes all guest and clearly enjoys his jobs! He saved our camping experience! You rock Gordon!

Campground is absolutely amazing! It is small and intimate, right on the river. Only about 15 spots, so never overcrowded even at full capacity. The site are nicely spaced so you do not feel like you're right on top of your neighbor -the camp next to us ran a generator off and on and we could barely here it-. Previous reviews from last year (2020) have mentioned the camp hosts as a negative, I can assure you that the current camp host are absolutely amazing! They came over our first night and introduced themselves, and we're very friendly. Each camp site is very nicely maintained, they clear them out as soon as they are vacated, even going so far as to rake the gravel smooth. They clean the bathrooms daily, and that is very apparent as these were the cleanest vault toilets we have EVER experienced (and even smelled minty fresh!!). They also left dog bags at each of the campsites, and at the water spigots, to ensure there is no dog droppings to accidentally step in, even if you forgot your own bags. All in all I give this campground a 10 out of 10, highly recommended, we will be returning soon!

The campground was so clean and beautiful. We arrived to a site that was racked, dog poo bags available at every site. Bathrooms were cleaned often and smelled like peppermint. Great hosts. We felt welcomed and so did the dogs :) Lots of hiking and recreation close by . Worth the drive all the way from Texas!

The hosts of the campground are very awesome! Their maintenance of each site, the restrooms, the garbage and the water spigots is top notch. All the small touches they’ve added are greatly appreciated. They are also incredibly nice and full of useful information. We will be back next year for sure!

The campground host's Gordon and Karen(I believe) were very nice and helpful. All the sites were clean and ready for the next set of campers. Everything was clean and in working order. Will love to stay here again.

Clean, clean clean. Nice spacing of sites. Ample water spickets.

It was very quiet as it was towards the end of the season. Each spot is raked and each has doggie pick up bags-which I think was above and beyond, but understandable. And as with all the other responses, the vault toilets were well cleaned and minty fresh. thank you for such great camp hosts. They really do a great job.
