Very nice, well-managed campground down a good paved road. Our reserved site was clearly marked and clean. Most sites were shaded by big trees, and many had good separation for privacy. On a Saturday night in August, it had a surprising number of available sites. Would recommend!!

Alta campground is a great place to stay, with tall pine trees, a nearby river, and clean, accessible drinking water and toilets; but most importantly were the wonderful, kind, and friendly camp hosts, Karen and Chris. Also, it is a quiet place where you can relax and enjoy the surrounding environment.

Beautiful campground. Very well spaced out sites. We had site 5, which had creek/river access. Very quiet and peaceful. Camp-host was very pleasant hand helpful with any questions we had. It is farther away from town if you forget anything. Plenty of shade to keep cool.

Beautiful and quiet spot right next to the creek. The camp hosts went above and beyond to keep the campground clean and welcoming.

Large, sturdy picnic table and fire ring in each spot. Pit toilet room is large, clean and well maintained. Mature pines offer welcome shade. Site spacing is a good balance of privacy and safety through proximity. Nearby riverbank (clear, rushing mountain stream) is a beautiful destination. Tent campers may pitch on fine crushed gravel or dirt (be prepared to cut a few young sprouts to prepare the area). Convenient potable water spigot. No network connection, so approach campground understanding not only how to get there, but also where yo go when you leave.
