The location was beautiful! We slept in the main living area between the two fireplaces. The rooms were still very cold in March and the heat doesn’t have a way to circulate down the hallway and into the rooms. I’d expect they are warm only in the summer months. We saw no mice, but still kept all food stored away. Please be kind and leave the place better than you found it. Note: the walk down the driveway during winter months is not too far of a walk, but is steep, if you are car camping. Bring a wagon and expect a good workout. Our code did not work for the code on the gate. Also, don’t park in front of the gate. There are four parking spaces very close. The pit toilet was very clean and had no smell while we were there. There was a solar light inside that worked at night.

Beautiful cabin, no snow this year, so easy to park but no xc skiing around the lake. Very hard to heat in the winter but it's possible, you'll need to go through 8-12 pieces of wood per hour to keep it warm. You'll want to get the stoves ripping asap. Expect the fires to go out overnight a couple times - bring very warm sleeping stuff. Cabin provides wood, be ready to split! Bring an extra splitting maul so you can have 2 people going at once. No sign of rodents during our stay. Lake was frozen over so we got to skate a bit.
