Red Mountain campground offers an ideal location along the Madison River, with friendly and helpful camp hosts who maintain clean facilities. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and direct river access, making it a favorite for floating and wildlife spotting. However, there have been issues with high winds, occasional cleanliness of restrooms, and communication regarding fire bans, highlighting areas for improvement.

Are family has been camping 9 years straight at Red Mountain
I can say this was the worst time we have had here and we won't be back.
To many dogs off leashes including the camp host it's disrespectful to others trying to enjoy free time.
I spent most of my time chasing dogs out of my camp area.
Thanks...

Great Location. Proximity to river is amazing. Had a great time camping, cooking, fishing, playing, floating, hiking and star+meteor gazing.

Ed was an outstanding host and the campsite was very well maintained. The toilets were very clean and relatively Odor free.
