Since our reservation was during 4th of July weekend I had a difficult time booking a spot for the 3 nights that we needed, so unfortunately we had to make 2 moves and the 3rd night with hopes that something would work out.
Long story short, our camp host was AMAZING! She knew of our situation and was able to get us a spot so we didn't have to move more than once and the bonus was that it was by the river!
All in all, it's a wonderful campground to relax and enjoy the great outdoors of Montana!

Cheryl and Ed Champlin are the hosts at Red Mountain and I cannot say enough about their friendliness, helpfulness and efficiency! Cheryl went out of her way to help me with reservations and Ed maintains the grounds beautifully. One morning I saw that he was trimming dead wood from the trees in the campground. They both really care about the grounds and campers!

Clean tidy bathrooms. Right up against the water for fishing. River too quick and too shallow for kids to swim in it. Great fishing though.
