What Guests Are Saying
Trapper Springs exceeded expectations with its beautiful scenery and great location, making it a comfortable stop for families. The campsite offers privacy and easy parking, though water availability may be limited in early May, and there is no cell service on-site. Visitors should note the potential noise from nearby Highway 84 and the lack of signage, especially when arriving.

There was no water available at any of the water spigots. Our visit was in June of 2023. No reasonable explanation for why the water would be off. Normally I’d be ok without the water amenity, it was just the principle of the fact that it did t say anywhere “sorry water is off, etc”. No explanation, no sorry, no discount on the price because of it. The site just simply didn’t care. End of story. 1 star.

The water has not been turned on in over a year. The weeds and grass have not been dealt with. The bathrooms were very clean.

The campground was nice, and clean. Great location for river access.
Unfortunately several of the neighboring sites were filled with RVs that ran their generators all day, and all night until they ran out of gas sometime around 4am. It's too bad folks can't enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors without the need for their generator to run all night.

Clean and well maintained group camp area. Close to town for a quick getaway with prime access to the lower Madison and wildlife viewing. Perfect for kids and families.
