The trail to the lookout was an easy hike, tons of wild flowers were in bloom, there was also a ton of mosquitoes to. Overall it was beautiful to visit. Was were able to see a great view of the Neowise comet also.

Great little lookout. Cozy wood burning stove kept us warm through a stormy night. Beautiful views. Pit toilet recently serviced. Plenty of cut firewood. Trail was also recently maintained.

Visited in late July and the mosquitoes were beyond belief.. even inside the lookout. THe pit toilet has turned into a mountain. I would guess that not a single dollar paid goes back into the lookout’s maintenance and renovation. Beautiful views though! Go visit but take a tent..
