Downstream campground is very well-maintained, with clean restrooms, showers, and campsites. It has a nice 1-mile+ walking trail, and two interesting overlooks nearby, across the dam.

The atmosphere was very peaceful, the sites were fairly large and the restroom and shower facilities were excellent. Also, a car tag was conveniently waiting for me on the outside of the office since I arrived after hours. I highly recommend this campground.

As with most COE parks, this one had long, level spaces and a wonderful trail system. We didn't launch our kayaks but there are many opportunities to paddle or fish. The dam is awesome. We are in a 40 ft. motorhome so long and level is what we really want and need,

The Campsite, the outhouse and the shower facilities were all very clean. Having a shower was a bonus at this campground. And, a spontaneous check-in went very smoothly with the extremely helpful staff. Thanks for the nice experience.
