Our family group has been coming to Downstream for years, and we love it. The only unfortunate part is now having to make our reservations in February.
Will you ever re open a walk in loop?

Large campsites. Quiet even though campground was quite full some nights. Provides book and movie exchange. Lots of walking or biking trails. Fort Peck close by easy bike ride away. Attended Fort Peck play which runs weekends throughout the summer. Bathrooms clean and well stocked. Showers available. Would like to have activity board of local happenings (such as the play). Also daily weather report would be most helpful. Check in is organized, quick and easy. Staff friendly and available for questions.

The campground itself is very nice and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. My complaint is that the power was out for 4 of the days we stayed there, it was a planned outage and I got an email about it the night before I arrived. They refunded me $20 (total) for the power being out but if I wanted to camp without power I would have stayed on the lake somewhere free or cheaper. The staff on site was very helpful and tried to do everything they could to help everyone out, but they are mostly volunteers. The manager (Pam I think) was very helpful and friendly. Overall itβs a great place to stay, we just happened to go at a bad time.

We love the variety of activities for our family - the playgrounds, nature path, fishing ponds! We love the nearby beach and close access to Fort Peck to take in a show!

The fires in Canada made the air quality in the campgrounds dangerous. Should have been a ban on campfires during that time.
