Love the area. Trying to get sites booked in online and by the QR code was a nightmare that ended up being over a half hour on hold until we could have a live person help. She was able to help with one of the issues but said she could only assist with one issue per call and we would have to hang up and call back for the second problem, which would have been another 39 minute wait for customer service. We were camping with folks and it took us almost 2 hours to get the 2 sites booked. Wasted the whole afternoon.

This is a great campground with nice flush toilets and showers as well as vault toilets. We stayed in the overflow area, because all the numbered sites were reserved. All went very well until the major wind storm on July 4th. We didn’t get a severe weather warning (our AT&T phones didn’t work well here), and a very strong wind (60+ MPH) broke the Chinese Elm tree in our campsite. The large limbs (10” diameter) destroyed our screened in shelter, broke two of our tables, and ended up resting against our trailer. Help from park staff didn’t arrive to cut up the tree branches until late the following afternoon. We left a day early because we needed to replace so much of our gear.
