Very steep hill to climb to get to campground. It is very close to the Gardiner entrance to Yellowwtone, and the view is very nice. Camp sites are spaced so that there is lots of room between sites. Sometimes elk come right into the campground. Closest campground to Gardiner entrance to Yellowsrtone.

This is not an RV campground complete with hookups to city utilities. Rather it is a campground meant for rustic camping. While there are two (kept very clean) vault type toilets, there are no hook ups to water or power.
So why did I give 5 stars? I knew what I was getting into. I've camped here before. I gave 5 stars because of the "camp host". He was attentive, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and very friendly. So it is he who gets the 5 stars.

The campground was super closer to Yellowstone and the downtown area. The host was great! He was kind and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our stay.
