The camp host was very friendly we enjoyed visiting with her. the camp sites are to close together , we tolerated it easily. the water quality of Canyon ferry, Houser, and Holter lakes are currently experiencing a Algae bloom, which was something we were not prepared for. Major bummer for swimming , dog swimming and fishing. we will not be back.

Quiet, right on the lake, great amenities. Didn’t have a boat in the lake so can only speak to the camping convenience factor which was great.

I gave this review a 2 star rating because of an E-coli contamination situation in the campground water supply and the extremely poor way it was handled during my Stay June 18-22. Apparently e-coli was detected on June 12 and a notice was posted on June 16 at the entrance information board. However, no warning was posted at the Hydrant the we used to fill our trailer with 15 gallons of water upon our arrival on June 18. It was not until the following morning (June 19) that a hand written BOIL ALL WATER” sign was posted at our hydrant. Which was too late and now trailer water system was now potentially contaminated with e-coli. From that point on we had to use water that we got from a nearby campground. In addition, we had to go through the lengthily process of sanitizing our trailers water system once we got back home from our trip. Obviously there as a huge communication breakdown between the Bureau of Rec, the campground host and the guests at this campground. Furthermore, any attempts to contact the local bureau of rec office with listed phone numbers repeatedly went to voice mail and were never responded to. This was a very poor situation to say the least.
On a brighter note. The campground was very clean, quiet, and well kept. And the toilets were always clean and well stocked with tp.

Enjoyed our three nights on the lake. Sites are nice size, paved, fire rings and tables, no water or electricity or dump station. Cell services is good, for Verizon. We always go during the week so nice and quiet.

Beautiful view on the waterfront and with mountains in the background, camping lots were spaced out enough, no showers or camp store, could swim from camp site
