We went at a very warm time. It was nice to be at the top of the pass, and have it cool off at night. There is some traffic noise and frequent cars and people pass by. Very little shade. Lots of sun exposure. Overall a great spot.

Great location easily accessed and secluded from the other camp sites. Really enjoyed the personal space for the group. Nice views out over the valley. Moose and deer visited. Cell service good. One 2 very slight draw backs: day use area neighbors the site, which brought few guests nearby, and using the vault toilet on the edge of the group site which is designated for the group site use. And the hwy is right there, so occasional vehicle noise. Worth it though.
