About Ben Rover Cabin

Ben Rover Cabin is located 35 miles north of Columbia Falls, perched near the Wild and Scenic Flathead River. The rustic accommodations provide a delightful setting for photographing scenery, viewing wildlife and enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. The cabin also provides access to a variety of activities, including hiking, fishing and boating the river. The cabin is generally accessible by vehicle, however, in winter, four-wheel drive vehicles with chains are strongly recommended. Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities. The majority of the road from Columbia Falls to Ben Rover Cabin is gravel, so be prepared for dust during your drive and at the cabin.

Delightful and sweet cabin, wonderful view, easy bike ride for kids to Pole Bridge, and rides into the park. Cabin has nice supply of cooking “gear”.

Great location on the river and within easy walking distance to Polebridge for pastries at the Merc and live music and food at the Northern Lights saloon. Furniture has been updated since photos were taken and was in good condition, though a picnic table outside would be appreciated. The cabin is fairly dark on the interior and really holds in heat so summer guests might want to bring lanterns and spare batteries instead of relying on the propane lights. Bug spray is also a wise investment. We brought mouse traps in case of visitors previous guests had mentioned, but saw no sign of them until the last morning when we found a few packages of crackers had been nibbled on. We appreciated how clean the previous guests left the place for us, and had a fantastic time. We'd definitely like to return!

Nice location. Previous renters left it nice and clean. Beware indoor mice. Beware creepy trespassers on the property who ignore signs - we had to park our car across the driveway to block them.
