I don't know if it was the heat or what. But restrooms smelled very bad and needed more cleaning with all the people that were camping over the weekend. I have camped at Rattin Campground and those restrooms are spic-n-spam. Other than that it was fine. Host site looks like a homeless camp.

Always great when we visit. Paul is the best camp host and always makes us feel like we are coming home. We can’t wait to come back.

Excellent stay. This was the first weekend of the season and scattered snow drifts were still around. Beautiful location. Easy to get to (paved road).

This is our favorite campground and we have camped here for approximately 6 years. The campground hosts have always been excellent until this year. The host site looks like a commune. The bathrooms were not properly cleaned. At one water location kids bicycles were piled up on the concrete pad making it difficult to get to. At the other water site a camper had his dog run on a rope between 2 trees that went right across the edge of the water pad. I never once saw the camp host ride the campground to check for these type of problems. I think he was to busy fishing the river. Beautiful as always just not up to your usual standards.

Campground did not react well to higher that normal use. One restroom was literally full up to the bottom of the toilet, and was later marked "closed until further notice." It was still closed when we left. Others were getting close to over full. Garbage bins were overflowing by end of stay. Not sure if these issues were due to hosts not communicating need properly, or if was due to policies of the operating company. My guess is the latter, since the hosts themselves were friendly, and we saw them out and about multiple times during the day, and the public use areas were clean and tidy. One restroom ran out of TP, but was restocked less than an hour later.
Might want to consider adding deodorizer hangers in outhouses as we've seen in other National Forest campgrounds. Makes a huge difference. It was very nice having motion-sensor battery operated LED lights in the restrooms at night, instead of depending on finding a resting place for a flashlight.
