Greenough Lake campground offers a beautiful and serene environment with friendly, helpful hosts. This is a very nice campsite. This campsite is well shaded and A nice place to get away from the heat. There is a small lake you can hike to that is about 1/4 mile and it has lots of small trout. The kids have a blast there fishing or swimming. The campsite is completely paved and there are bathrooms that are cleaned every day and a hand pump well water that is available. Downside campsites are close together and it was kind of busy but overall it was quiet and a good time. There are some campsites that have beer boxes for food and other items and they have trash bins at the entrance for you to dispose of your trash because it is bear country. There’s no dumpsite or electrical but there is a dumpsite in Red Lodge at the town pump that is free. And if you run out of things to do red Lodge is a cute old time town very touristy and they usually have something going on a lot of cute shops as well.

No problem checking in. The park is well looked after. A bit of a problem with privacy.

Site 2 was incredible. The short walk to Greenough Lake was a nice trek for two people not accustom to the mountain air yet. Facilities were spotless. I almost wanted to skip Yellowstone and just stay here for a week. Beautiful peaceful spot, we will be back.
