We had a great 3 day stay at Parkside CG. This campground came through the floods of June 2022 relatively unscathed. However, there is only one water pump in service for the entire campground.

Great place to camp, they could shorten some of the grassy areas but other than that is a wonderful place ! quiet and lots of beautiful scenery calm and relaxing !

Considering the destruction that area had from the June rains and flooding, it was in pretty good shape, the grounds/facilities were clean and other than the overused west latrine, the camp was well maintained.
My only complaint was the fact there was no potable water, or actually the pump was out of service, but being as the creek was close by, we just filled up our water jug, and boiled the water.

Lovely campground. Campground employees were very helpful. Very clean toilets and campsites. Campsites are well-spaced, especially on the upper loop. The Forest Service and concessions are working hard to repair the damage from the flooding.

The Campground was nice. Bathrooms were well maintained, despite no Campground host on site. The upper loop had just opened due to flooding in June. I would return and use this Campground again.

Great camping, all paved, you hear the beartooth highway but it’s easily turned out. You can see the damage in quite a few sights from the flooding in June 2022

Really enjoyed this camp. Most of the camp sites closed due to flood damage. Hiking close by, short drive. Great trout fishing at camp site. Red Lodge Mt a short 20 min drive. Would love to come back.

I had the misfortune of booking this space during major thunderstorm activity and as a result Site 13 was under 2 inches of water and was not draining thus I had to abort my stay and go elsewhere.
Also unfortunately due to the major flooding in June 2022 a couple of the bridges that connect to the better campgrounds on the west of Parkside are all closed thus the poorer quality campgrounds on the West side of Parkside are now the only ones open.
There is dispersed camping along the Western Side of the River though and I would recommend getting to the area early enough in the day to spec out a good dispersed site outside of the campground up until time that repairs (and due to the vast volume of damage infrastructure the NFS is working as fast as they can to make bridge repairs etc but it will be a couple of years minimum before infrastructure is fully restored) are complete to all bridges and roads in the area.

Facilities very clean. Only water was from a hand pump and it had a fairly strong taste of iron. Camp hosts were wonderful and did a great job.
