About Lake Alva Campground

Lake Alva Campground is located on the North shore of Lake Alva, approximately 11 mi north of Seeley Lake, and offers visitors the chance to camp and enjoy activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.  The lake is home to a loon population and has protected nesting areas. The birds' mesmerizing calls can often be heard in the campground. All boats on Lake Alva must operate at a "no-wake" speed year-round.

What Guests Are Saying

Lake Alva Campground is praised for its beautiful, clean, and well-maintained facilities, offering a peaceful environment ideal for families and outdoor activities like kayaking. Campers appreciate the spacious sites and proximity to the serene lake, although some noted challenges with tent space and access to potable water. While there were minor issues with restroom maintenance and the presence of unleashed dogs, overall experiences have been positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

So quiet and peaceful. Beautiful lake. We enjoyed the drive to Holland Lake and the hike to falls.

Nice, well maintained campground. All paved is nice although most of the sites are somewhat narrow but definately doable. Would stay here again. Basically a no wake lake that kayakers and stand up paddleboarders will like.

We love Lake Alva campground. We have gone 3 years in a row now. Such a good family friendly area. Bathrooms are very clean as well which is a bonus when sleeping outdoors for several days.

Sites were very well spaced from each other. Vault toilets were kept clean, well stocked, and almost bug free! Beach was in close proximity to campground with room for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely be reserving at this campground again

The tent sites lacked space for your tent unless you wanted to pitch it on the asphalt. I need pens to keep mine up, so that didn't work well. Otherwise, a great spot with quick access to the lake.

The lake and the campground were amazing as always. Aside from a grumpy cg host (that the rangers set straight in a hurry), the trip was great!

Beautiful lake. The campground is fairly rustic and quiet but campsites are all within view of each other. Bring a kayak and your own ice and firewood.

My family has been visiting Lake Alva for well over 30 years. It is a great campground that has been ruined by campers who run noisy generators for hours at a time. Unfortunately, the rules allow the operation of generators all day except between 10 PM and 6 AM.
