Cabin is well equipped and has historic items which are very interesting. The 3 upstairs bedrooms give privacy

The station is beautiful and we loved the way it has been restored. I last visited it as a kid when rangers worked there. The location is gorgeous with lots of recreational options.
However, this was my birthday treat and it was so dirty that I spent much of our time cleaning mouse dirt from the pots and pans, and sweeping masses of dead flies out of the windows so we could eat and sleep there. For the price that should not have been necessary.

Fantastic early 20th century hand built National Forest Service Ranger station. This cabin is available for rent from the National Parks rec website. Large house with three bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. Primitive accomodations without electricity or running water. This is a very remote spot and a great place to get away to for a few days.

I love this place and come back every February for the cross country skiing. It's a great cabin for a group because there are three bedrooms. But be aware: there is no running water in winter and no indoor plumbing. There IS propane heat and cooking. And the most amazing snow to play in!
