What Guests Are Saying
East Fork Cabin is praised for its cleanliness, rustic charm, and well-maintained facilities, making it a great retreat from city life. Guests enjoyed various outdoor activities like hiking and biking, and appreciated the improvements in electrical systems for RVs. While some noted the lack of electric lights in the pavilion and occasional mouse visitors, overall, the experience was very positive.

If you want a great time, Montana offers a wonderful gift of wide open spaces, but the down side is always way too many people bringing their kids to our state. If you visit please go home and keep our wild areas for the wildlife.

Very clean. I packed out the food stuff that had been left in the cupboards. Site has been maintained well, old fire rings and pack rat nests cleaned up. Bravo, USFS!

We spent three days with my son and his family. A great time was had by all. Our 7 year old grandson caught fish out of the creek that flows by the cabin and also on the Eastfork. It was enjoyable to sit under the eave of the wood shed and watch a thunderstorm roll through. It is a fantastic place for the kids to use their imaginations and run around safely. Who could forget the smores. Delicious!!

From Sula, travel northwest on Highway 93 for less than a mile. Turn northeast (right) onto East Fork Road/County Road 472 and continue about 16 miles to the cabin. Maps may be purchased by calling the Darby-Sula Ranger District at 406-821-3913.
In the winter months (October through April), you may have to park at the gates and walk approximately 600ft. to the cabin. The road is usually plowed to the cabin but there are times it is not. You may want to bring a small plastic sled to transfer gear from the vehicle to the cabin just in case. In the summer months you may drive right to the cabins main parking areas.
