The back loop by the river have great spots to stay at. Yes, the freeway can be heard and the train on the other side of the freeway as well, but it is not bad.

Lovely campsite in the pines near the Clark Fork river. The tent pad was a tight fit but not inadequate for our 10×10 tent. Host was friendly and helpful. Site is located very near the interstate and road noise was persistent throughout the evening, so ear plugs or white noise is advised.

Great campgroud directly off the highway, you enter through the rest stop so perfect overnight stay. It was very empty when we visited and so quiet even though the highway was so close. The spots are very large and well spaced. There is water and a dump station available. No electric but each site has a concrete picnic table and a fire pit. You are surrounded by pine trees and the smell and shade is amazing. It was a great location for our trip and recommend to anyone who is on the highway. There are a few trails to walk as well.

Nice campground with large sites. Close to the highway which is convenient when traveling through the area but there is a lot of highway noise. :)

This is an excellent campground for campers who are passing through on their way to another destination. The campground was very clean. The camp hosts keep it very well maintained. We were in loop A, which is behind the rest area. It was wooded and shaded with a overlook at the river below. Some hum from the traffic could be heard, but it was not annoying. I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect place to stay if you’re passing through. I was surprised at the lack of bugs too. There is a nice interpretive hike the forestry department set up that is the perfect length to stretch your legs after a long drive. Sites are easy to get in and out of too. Easy find as it it literally right next to the rest stop. Both east bound and west bound are accessible by a tunnel. We stayed on the west bound side which is farthest from the train tracks. The noise did not bother us at all. The trees offered us shade which was lovely and the picnic tables are a nice concrete. Found out you can reserve the even numbered sites and the odd number are first come basis. Great set up. Bathrooms were clean. Will definitely stay here again!
