The campground itself is fine, really. The Recreation.gov app for payment is a bit clunky due to no internet access (you "register" via the app and when connected later, your payment goes through). Not really a problem per se. The evening we checked in and the next morning it was quite quiet. But in the mid-late afternoon, a substantial amount of fast-moving traffic started moving both directions along the dirt road leading from Superior and beyond the campground toward Idaho. This was not only quite a bit noisier than we expected but it kicked up substantial amounts of dust, which when mixed with the wildfire smoke, was very unpleasant. We visited the Forest Service office and got maps for the other area campgrounds and will check those out for our next trip.

- Trout Creek Campground has 12 sites total.
- The maximum stay limit is 16 days per reservation.
- The campground is graveled with 3 vault toilets located within the campground. Each site has a parking area, picnic table, and fire ring. Trash service is available, no water or host at this time.
