We have stayed at Quartz Flat CG several times as we travel on I90. Other than the rest area and hiway noise it's a perfect place to dry camp.

Great place for an overnight stop. Not as loud as one might expect. Tucked in the trees above the river.

Lovely campsites near the freeway. Fully wooded and lots of sites available with no reservation necessary in early June. One flush tilet bathroom and the other vault toilets were very clean.

This was our second stay at Quartz Flats and, as the last time, we arrived in the rain. However, the site was easy to back into and almost level. The nicest thing about the campground was the incredibly clean bathrooms. Hats off to the Forest Service or camp hosts for keeping them so clean and nice smelling. The highway noise wasn't bad at all.

Was a nice campground. Sharon the camp host was kinda rude. We did not make it on Friday but we paid for Friday and Saturday. She told us she was taking down our reservation because we were a day late. Did not ask if we were ok, just was mad we were late.

Even though the sound from the freeway could be heard, it did not take away our experience. We stayed in “G” loop “. The 6 or so trains each day that passed were welcomed. My wife and I love the sound of the trains as they rumble by.
Bathrooms were very clean. Camp host very nice.

Easy to get to—right off the freeway. But that means you definitely hear the road noise, and a train track nearby was used a few times throughout the night. Clean bathrooms though with flushing toilets meant that it wasn't an uncomfortable stay.

This is a through travelers gem. It may be hard to get past the security concern of having this attached to a major interstate rest area, but the format really works, especially for a smaller self contained RV. Great campground host!
