Apgar Campground

Site A33 was awesome. farther away from the other sites and the camp host was very funny. Little close to the road, but not bad at all.

Apgar campground was great - central to the things we wanted to see and very clean. The park rangers/hosts were very helpful and I was ready to answer any questions we had about the campground and/or park.

We enjoyed our week at Apgar in glacier. Not sure why they have sites so close together when they have so much space there, but it worked out great. They could take some lessons from Jasper about bathrooms and showers. Two showers for hundreds of campers and campsites does not make any sense. Out of six loops we had to drive to the shower and then stand in line —one whack until 11 o’clock at night. Ridiculously disgusting shower with no place to set dry clothes etc. On the east side of glacier they have push button showers, which might discourage some of these printers from staying so long when there’s a long line of people
And the one plug in the restroom near our campsite was too high to plug in anything and sit it on the floor. So we had to hold whatever we were trying to charge because there’s no service or even electricity in the campground otherwise.
Otherwise Glacier is magnificent.

Great campgrounds. Showers are busy but nice to have. I like camping inside the park.

Not too close to other campsites, shielded from the Apgar Loop Road so passing vehicles aren't too loud, good drainage during rain events. The ground is flat and there is 1 tent pad. The table at our site was ADA accessible (longer tabletop). Close walking distance to the bathrooms and showers. The bathroom was clean during my visit.

Unfortunately, other campers created a brush path between the road and the campground that goes through this site, and they will rudely walk through your campsite if you don't block it.

Great site! We stayed one night here after two nights at Many Glacier. Much different vibe, but still a great spot. Close to showers and water spigot. Campground is great for young kids!

Apgar Campground is very nice. Our pull in site was on wrong side to have our door facing the campsite due to the one-way loop. It wounded up being fine as we didn't have to carry lots of food stuff out to the table and all as it rained most of the weekend. We didn't realize there is a nice, paved bike path behind the campground until it was about time to go. I spotted a large colorful woodpecker in the woods on our walk. The Ranger did a great job talking about Harlequin Ducks & Chickadees. We were huddled under the cover in the pouring rain. We also heard a ranger talk by the nature center on wildflowers. It is easy to bike or walk to some cute shops and cafe.

Our family loved this campground and campsite. We were in A52 with a 24' trailer and Pickup truck and there was still room to spare. It was a little tight pulling through the trees when we left but not bad. A lot of tree cover, solar panels don't do well almost anywhere at Apgar. But it is a great home base on the West side and short bike ride to Apgar Village and Lake McDonald. AT&T signal is non existent. The bathrooms were a little rundown but we've been to worse at other parks. This site also has two separate tent pads, which most sites didn't have.

We stayed for 5 days, 4 nights at Apgar Campground and had such an incredible experience. It was amazing being so close to Lake McDonald. Apgar Village had everything you needed close by and the Camp Hosts / Rangers were so kind and helpful! Bathrooms and shower house were nice & clean. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

The ranger talks in the amphitheater are great. There are 3 free showers for the whole campground. Flush toilets and sinks (no hand soap) throughout the campground.
