I cannot say enough good things about this place! Wish we had stayed longer. Loved the shaded sites and lots of trees/privacy. Felt like we were in the forest. Good walking access to Visitor Center, Apgar Village and Lake MacDonald. Loved it here!

This campsite was great. The whole campsite was large and spacious. Your neighbours are a fair distance away from you when camping.
There are showers (at no cost) in the campground, which makes it even better.
The lake is great, and the village is within walking distance as is the visitor information centre.
The road to rising of the sun road is really easy to get to, the avalanche trail parking can get really busy.

Shower is inadequate, long line for it.

Clean and quiet! Sites are nicely spaced apart. Bathrooms could use some updating but they were clean. It’s a short walk to Apgar Village where you can purchase firewood, ice, food, souvenirs, or rent kayaks. Attended a program at the amphitheater, which was very interesting and well attended.

I love staying here. However, I don’t understand why there is only 1 bathhouse for this size campground.

Great campground, nice sites with plenty of tree cover. Deer roaming through freely, site was level and spacious. Only downside was the two showers for the entire campground which lead to lines outside them each night. Otherwise very happy with our stay - and not having to battle the entrance lines into the park each morning is fantastic.
