Most sites out of "A" Loop are not very good for tents. We had to put our tent in the parking spot of our site and it was still on a slope. They put the fire rings on the most level spot on the sites leaving no place for your tent unless you want to erect it literally next to the fire ring meaning no campfire or risk burning hole in tent from hot embers.
Only one small (3 stalls) shower facility in A Loop is simply not enough.
A plus is the proximity and easy walk to Lake McDonald and Apgar Village.
Going to the Sun road runs next to campground and can be very noisy if you have a site at the end of the loops.

Beautiful campground and spacious wooded campsite. Free hot showers! Close proximity to GTTS road so expect some road noise. Road construction on GTTS road was painful - delays as long as an hour.

Beautiful campground, large sites, but busy/limited showers for tent/van/car campers.

Lots of modern tourist-like facilities (souvenir shops, coffee shops, dining facilities, kayak rentals, etc.) within walking distance. Campground was rustic, but you are still close to your neighbors. Lots of unlevel and tight campsites for leveling your Class A or C motorhome.

Good size campsites with pull-throughs for your vehicle. Lovely wooded campground near McDonald lake. Conveniently-placed bathrooms and water spigots.

The campground was quiet and our site was easily accessible with our truck pulling our 17ft camping trailer. The bathrooms were good. Also, the campground host was very friendly. I would stay here again.
