Very clean and organized. The ground was pretty hard, make sure to bring a hammer to get your stakes in the ground if you are using a tent. Great location but did not have service, about a 10 minute drive to get a signal. The lake was nearby, absolutely beautiful!

Be careful with the cottonwood pods. They stick to everything and stain fabric.

Lovely campground in the month of May. Few other campers, all quiet, charming campground hosts, clean bathrooms, showers, recycling bins and a waste dump for campers. All very conveniently located walking distance from Lake MacDonald. We biked Going to the Sun Road as it is closed to cars this early in the season. It was a wonderful experience. Be sure to bring (or purchase) your own wood for a campfire as you may not collect wood inside the park (even at the campground). The only troublesome part was figuring out how to pay for the camp site. It was complicated and required cell service to use the recreation.org site and subsequently call. I suppose the system works well during the busy season but it was not easy to navigate.
