Campsites were spaced among tall trees and handy to the bathroom and dish wash station. The area was quiet after 9pm til around 7-8am when campers get up & out.

Camping experience was good but site 105 didn’t even have a spot for a tent we had to setup our tents in the drive way. Setting up tents in the drive didn’t allow us to put our stakes in and it rained good the first day. Everything we owned was soaked.

Nice, quiet campsite. Level tent pads, close to water spigot and bathroom. Good all around.

Used as a stop over at the end of the Going-to-the-Sun Road so convenient. It is a gloomy, forested site in the rain. The campground is aging/dated and only has three showers (and one was out of order) for 194 sites. Providing visitors with maps or. having better signage on each loop would be helpful. Sites are a reasonable size.

We enjoyed our stay at Apgar Campground, which has a good amount of privacy between sites. C125 was a great fit for our 27 ft travel trailer. It had a moderate curve with trees on both sides, yet the site wide width of about 20 ft made it easier to get the trailer into position. The sites are relatively close end to end with the pull throughs. Fortunately, there was about 30 ft of wooded distance between our site and those in the next loop, so it was relatively private and quiet overall. The other bonus of this site's location is that two comfort stations, including toilets and grey water dumping for dish water, were just a few feet away. Having an onsite water fill and dump station was great - the only challenge is that it is small and has a significant curve, making it somewhat challenging to navigate with a travel trailer. It's located on the left as you drive in, so fill up your water there first if you need it. We exited the dump station area and drove through Loop A before getting to our site in Loop C because it would have involved a sharp right turn otherwise. That worked out fine, and we did the same when we used the dump station on our way out. All in all, the campground is in a good location relative to the Apgar Village and West Glacier for services. We had 1 bar of Verizon that allowed for texting without attachments and calls. The Apgar Visitor Center has wifi, though we found it to be as functional as the Verizon service and went to West Glacier when we needed to make some travel plans via the internet.

Campground was quieter than I expected. Shower building was clean, but not in very good shape, lots of rust and built-up grime, there were 4 shower rooms, but only two were working. Two showers for a campground with 160 sites seems very inadequate. The restrooms in my circle were clean, but no lights, no soap, lots of rust, and chipped paint; very much in need of an update.

We love this campground. Great location with paths and the lake. Only 2 showers (out of 3) were working which was a pain and had line ups.

Close to many great trails. Paved path to walk or bike on was a short distance to the visitor center and the village, which had several shops and kayaks for rent. The cafe in the village had very tasty food. Highly recommend the huckleberry cobbler with huckleberry ice cream. Worth the calories!
