Apgar Campground is an excellent choice for a stay on the west side of Glacier National Park! The campground provides basic facilities with plenty of space in the campsites I occupied with easy access to water and other basic needs.
It is centrally located near West Glacier and Apgar for post-park recreation and a short drive (on a Montana scale) to other facilities if camp cooking isn’t necessarily in your plans. Shower and laundry options are also nearby if tent camping.

I had a great stay at Apgar Campground. I stayed 2 nights, one night in loop an and one night in loop b. Both were great!

Beautiful campground within Glacier National Park. We have a 36 ft Class A - so limited sites can accommodate us. Site D180 worked fine and had space for our Jeep as well. Be careful to review not only the site lengths but also trees and curves in the eyebrow sites before booking.

I liked the camp site and location being close to Apgar village, bike trails and the visiter center also Lake McDonald. Most sites are shaded so don't plan on full sun to recharge a solar panel.

This campground was very cozy. Lots of tall evergreens exist throughout the campground, providing shade for all the sites during the day. Sunlight filters through the trees, so it is not just shade.

Loved this camground. I was in the A loop and while the campground was full, there was enough space between sites to not feel crowded. I also attended the ranger programs each night I was there, and I have to say the Glacier rangers do a fantastic job!

The campground was full but never felt like you were on top of one another, which I really appreciated considering it's so close to the village. Staff was helpful and kind. Tons of greenery, we had lots of visiting deer & it was a close walk to the visitor center and the village itself. The campground does have showers but they were always full and had a line of people waiting so we never even attempted to utilize them. If you're not in the loop with the building it's also kind of extra to have to walk to. If that's important to you then I would recommend booking within the same loop. We stayed here multiple nights and really enjoyed our time. Of our two sites; we preferred this one.
