Campground was nice and clean. The people working are informative and kind. If you are going to drive the sun road leave early.

We stayed at Apgar Campground while road-tripping through Glacier National Park, and while the location can’t be beat, steps from Lake McDonald with easy access to west-side trails, a couple of things left us wanting more.
We were surprised by the lack of nature and ranger-led educational programming. For a park with such rich geology, wildlife, and history, we expected more opportunities to learn while camping, campfire talks, guided walks, or interpretive programs near the campground itself.
We were also disappointed by the lack of dedicated dish-washing stations. Having just camped through Canada, where campgrounds commonly provide separate sinks for washing dishes and dedicated faucets for refilling drinking water, the difference was noticeable here. Amenities like these make a real difference for campers, especially those without an RV or camper to wash up in.
The setting is gorgeous and the sites themselves are well maintained, but these amenities would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

The site was too small for a 23' pull trailer, it was sloped which made it difficult to level the RV.

What a shame that we have let our parks infrastructure become so rundown.
Check out Parks Canada; so much better.

Camping was great! Restroom and Shower was clean. Check in was smooth and informative.
The only comment we have is our campsite was not very nice. It took us over an hour to try to set our little trailer to be able to set it. It feels like its the worst site of all the sites around. It was uneven uphill. We turn around and still could not park it evenly. We drove around and most of the sites are nice and even. I hope they could check it and maybe do something to improve it in the future. We camp at lope C # 121.

Our first night was site B73, which was perfect for our needs and was our favorite during our 3 night stay. Second night we were in C129, which was also good. A last minute booking for a third night was site B99. Although it was nice, this was our least favorite. We have a camper van and the ground was level the first two nights but not the third night. and there were trees close enough to hang our hammock the first two nights. Bathrooms were nearby and hot showers are available in the "A" loop at no additional charge.
